Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 1, 2026 ยท Effective for da.place on iOS & Android

da.place is built privacy-first. Your saved places stay yours, and we never sell your data. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.

๐Ÿ‘ป The short version

Your map is private by default. We collect the minimum needed to run the app, we don't sell or rent personal data, and you can delete everything at any time from Settings โ†’ Account โ†’ Delete my data.

1. Who we are

da.place ("we", "us") operates the da.place mobile application and website. For any privacy question, contact us at privacy@da.place.

2. Information we collect

3. How we use it

We use this information to show you nearby places, sync your lists across devices, keep the service secure, and respond to support requests. We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

4. What we never do

5. Ghost mode & sharing controls

Ghost mode hides you from the live map entirely. You can share a single list with a single person, or keep everything private. You control visibility per list, and you can revoke access at any time.

6. Data retention & deletion

Your content is kept until you delete it or close your account. Deleting your account removes your profile, bubbles and lists from our active systems within 30 days. You can request deletion in-app or by emailing privacy@da.place.

7. Children

da.place is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. We honor these requests for all users regardless of location. Contact privacy@da.place to exercise them.

9. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
