Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

What da.place keeps on your device when you visit this website, and which other services your browser connects to. The short answer: da.place sets no cookies, and nothing on this site tracks you.

1. The short version

  • da.place sets no cookies.
  • If you pick light or dark with the switch at the top of a page, your browser remembers your pick. That is the only thing da.place keeps on your device.
  • There are no analytics, advertising or social media cookies, no tracking pixels and no fingerprinting.
  • Everything below is either strictly necessary or something you asked for, so the law does not require your consent for it, and we do not show a cookie banner.

2. What is kept on your device

da-theme

What
An entry in your browser's local storage, set by da.place.
Why
It remembers the theme you picked, so the next page opens in it.
When
Only after you use the light and dark switch. Until then, pages follow your device's setting.
How long
Until you clear da.place's data in your browser.

__cf_bm

What
A cookie on supabase.co, set by Cloudflare, which protects the network of Supabase, the provider that holds the photos shown on list and invite pages.
Why
It helps tell people from automated traffic, to keep that network secure.
When
Your browser may receive it when it loads photos on a list or invite page, if your browser accepts cookies from other sites.
How long
30 minutes.

da.place works the same if your browser blocks cookies from other sites.

3. Services your browser connects to

Like every website, da.place reaches your screen through other companies' servers. Each of them receives what any server receives when it sends you something: your IP address, your browser's details and what was asked for.

  • Vercel hosts da.place and delivers every page you open.
  • Supabase stores the photos on list and invite pages, in Ireland. Your browser loads them through Supabase's network, by links that stop working after an hour.
  • Apple provides the map on a list page. Your browser loads Apple's MapKit JS and the map itself from Apple's servers (apple-mapkit.com). When we checked on October 17, 2026, MapKit JS set no cookies and stored nothing on the device. How Apple handles this data is described in Apple's privacy policy.

How we and these providers handle personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

4. In the app

The da.place app uses no cookies for analytics or advertising. It keeps what it needs to work on your iPhone, such as your sign-in and your settings; the Privacy Policy lists it. Supabase's network may give the app the same 30-minute __cf_bm security cookie.

5. Your choices

  • To forget your theme, clear da.place's data in your browser's settings; picking again only changes it.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser's settings at any time.
  • If we ever want to use a cookie or other storage that is not strictly necessary, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
